Sue's Spider Web Porthole Cover Pattern, Boat Museum Society.

Written down by Sue Constable and published by Sarah & Paul Chanin 1999.  As with all BMS publications, proceeds from the sale help to preserve and restore significant boats of the inland waterways.

No size for the porthole is given becasue the pattern gives instructions on how to coninue the rounds until you reach the size you need.  The patterns mention size 20 or 8 cotton.  Size 20 is a fine cotton (the same as the Pixie cotton) while the Empress is a 10, and the one I've used to make all the samples on this site, but should be perfectly suitable for this pattern.  I'll post a better picture once I've made the cover myself.
